how can we know reality? multiple problems

  1. Kant � our knowledge is confined to appearances

Hegel disputes this

  1. concepts (thinking) + intuition (sensations) � both instrumental

Hegel wanted to downgrade the sensory side

  1. validity of the ontological argument

the concept of existence is contained within the concept of God

Kant had argued against this because existence is not a predicate

this is related to (2) � since the ontological argument �/span> knowledge without perception
